A NEW ERA BEGINS FOR CLACKAMAS CAGE CAMPS
We are proud to announce the opening of our new Clackamas Cage Camp facility this fall. For the first time we will be holding camps, clinics and basketball game specific training on a new full size college court with pro/college style baskets. Having our own facility allows for more specialized coaching and basketball skill development. Individual, group, and team clinics will be offered. Our staff will include current and former high school and college coaches bringing you practical basketball skill development that you will use in your games at the youth, high school, and college level.
Tamie Woginrich, Head Coach, Newberg Girls Basketball
“If you want your player to be taught good basketball fundamentals, then send them to Steven Gustovich. He has worked with our team before preforming mini clinics. Our players enjoy his style of teaching and they are noticeably better when he is done working with them. He is one of a handful of people in Oregon who I would send my players to for skill development.”
Sydney Azorr, CHS Class of 2014, WOU Player
“Over the past six years with Gus, I have participated in several of his basketball camps and clinics where my skills and fundamentals have been greatly improved. His knowledge of the game and skills necessary to be a successful basketball player are second to none. I truly don’t think I would have earned a scholarship to play basketball in college without his help and training throughout the years.”
Tony Mehalovich, Parent
“Coach Gustovich, You are an excellent coach for both boys and girls at all levels. Most players these days lack basic fundamentals that are needed to play at the higher levels. Your knowledge of the game and ability to identify and coach fundamentals is the best I have ever seen. Most importantly, you inspire trust in the parents by constantly demonstrating your genuine concern for the kids you coach through selflessly volunteering your time to help kids grow. You are a great example for my kids to be around. Thank you for your help now and in the future.”
Bring your team to get assistance on offensive and defensive strategy. Develop an understanding on numerical advantages, press defense, press-breaks, out of bounds plays, and defensive positioning.
Rent out the facility for basketball or volleyball. The gym provides a regulation college size basketball court which can be two volleyball courts.
Individual skills focuses on shooting mechanics, position strategy, ball handling, principles of defense, rebounding, physicality and counter attacks.
